First time she's broke

Yesterday a message came up saying 'battery not charging' on my silverado

Sure enough I put the meter on the alternator and it was bad. It's at 152k and I've had it for 3 years This is the first time something has broke on it, not bad.




New one was 160 with a lifetime warranty, not bad

Great price for alternator!

I have an '09 Silverado 2500HD Dmax, only problem I had is traction control sensor. Went out while it was under warranty and them again out of warranty. I was kinda pissed bc they charged the second time. I have extended GM warranty and it doesn't pay well on small repairs bc of deductible. :(

What year and engine is your Silverado? I've got an 02 2500 HD with 125,000. I'm the original owner and only issue I've had was the multi switch/turn signal lever thingy got a short but it was still under warranty. Would have been around 3 or 4 hundred bucks I believe.

I had an '02...loved the hood style that year, kinda reminded me of the '72 era.
