Ca. says its ok to hold your cell phone while driving

Just as long as you're not talking on it

I think we should make and repeal more laws just for the hell of it.

Is that political?? I'm researching it now. If it is, I'll delete this thread

That's a good idea. Yesterday I had my phone in my hand using it for directions and a lady nearly drove herself off the road yelling at me to put my phone down. I wasn't the distracted dangerous driver.

Lets see Vic. State law, state court,
If this was started by somebody else, it would be deleted already. Or would it just be HIDDEN FROM VIEW?

I remember back in the day when I was taking Statistics, the Professor told us there was no statistical link between car accidents and talking on a cell phone while driving. I wonder what he is saying today.

Except maybe............Vic as the owner of the site felt that this issue was of such high interest to the general membership that he is using his executive privilege to let everyone know.

Now if it get's political I'm sure he will make deletions (posts or even the whole thread) but in the end it's his prerogative as the rest of us are simply guests here..............my .02

Since driving cars and boats are considered the same for most California laws, I thought the subject matter was relevant for a boating site.

I backed up the title with facts and a link to the article.

I poked a little fun at Sacramento.

And I left myself an out in the event anyone finds the thread overwhelmingly political or takes any one portion out of context.

I think I covered all the bases
