There's a baller status joke here somewhere but I totally get where you're coming from.
I've known people that will drive across town to save a few cents per gallon. I think for some it's just the appearance of saving makes it worth it.
Maybe if you're filling up a motorhome. 100 gallons equals 5.00 bucks.
