Probably more appropriate for salt water applications......in fresh water the greatest thing about a pontoon IMHO is the ability to just power up on the shore and not worry about it

Me too! Also, it easier for us fat, drunk chicks to get in without climbing ...I can't carry my weight and there's nothing sexy about lifting a whale on a boat
