Andrew(Rivergames) runs with the Lucas drag race circuit, and no longer runs APBA events. Long political story, that I have never taken sides with. I am sure each side of the cracker debacle has their reasons for going separate ways. But damn it sure hurt one of the best classes in circle boats. I wish it would end, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
We have stepped back a little from the racing deal. We didn't run at all this year. Last year took its toll on us and we were wiped when it was all over. Was it worth it? Yeah, any time you win a championship and a Hall Of Champions induction you can justify it. But sometimes you would rather be in last place and none of the stress. We found ourselves at each others throats too many times during the year, and the team is all family, so we shut it down for a breather. We may run a couple selected races this year. There are a couple things we would like to accomplish before we hang it up entirely. So we aren't done.
If you see the boat at a race you attend, stop by the pits and say HI!

BF Sr, was a no bullshit guy, and this bullshit. So yes, I agree, he would not be happy. But when BF Sr, was alive, it was 100% pure racing, and now its 100% pure business.
If BF Sr. was alive, Waltrip, and the entire team, plus all of Front Row, yes including Roger Penske, would all be picking BF Sr. size 12 out of their asses.
Not entirely sure how they justified Gordon for the chase. I understand tossing Truex, and installing Newman. But it is a big stretch to suggest that Gordon would have driven himself into the top 10 and made the chase without a win if Bowyer hadn't pull his BS. Gordon was in the top 10 of the chase at one point, but he wasn't even close when Bowyer pulled that shit.
The big benefactor here isn't Newman, its Gordon.
I guess they figured the average nascar fan would have a hard time understanding why the guys that finished 11 and 13 made the chase, but Gordon in 12 didn't. Hey, they are the ones that wrote the rules that way. They should stick by them.
