What is your "Hometown"?

I'm curious when people ask this question what your answer is? The Town you were born in? The Town you've lived most of your life? The Town you live in currently? Thoughts?

I was born in Twentynine Palms but lived most my life in Roseville so I say Roseville.

Born in Santa Monica, but lived in Big Bear Lake from age 3 to 43. been in La Quinta for the last 8 years.

I was born in Hartford, CT but moved to San Jose when I was 6. I moved to San Clemente when I was 21 and we stayed there for more than 30 years until moving to Havasu last year........I still consider San Clemente my hometown

I get asked "Where are you from" every time I go to a different rig.

On the rigs, I tell them "Alaska, but born in Biloxi". Which is true.

I don't tell them I live in CA until a few days later, after they get to know me....it doesn't go over too well in this neck of the woods....


But I don't really have a hometown per sey.

Born in Biloxi, younger years in the Philippines, back to the deep South, then Alaska, with the odd year in California and Hawaii, plus Guam, Wake, Japan, Greenland, the list goes on.

Having been in every State and 7 Country's ...there is no clear answer except where I was born, and where I really grew up. (Biloxi and Anchorage)
