In early 2012, the top two high-performance powerboat dealerships in the country—Pier 57 Marine and Sjogren Performance Marine—joined forces and became the new Pier 57 Marine. Headed by Scott Sjogren and David Woods, the two outfits consolidated operations to the former Sjogren facility in Waukegan, Ill while still selling boats from both locations, TN & IL.

Both Woods and Sjogren came to own and operate thriving dealerships more than ten years ago through their personal passion for high-performance powerboats. Both had successful offshore racing careers. Both began their dealerships carrying Fountain Powerboats and became the builder’s most successful dealers before moving on to carry custom powerboat lines.

Today, Pier 57 carries the iconic Cigarette Racing Team line of custom V-bottom sportboats and center consoles and the renowned Marine Technology, Inc., catamaran series. In addition to selling new models from Cigarette and MTI, Pier 57 carries the largest inventory of pre-owned, fully inspected performances boats in the world from almost every major builder. Pier 57 operates an award-winning service center (Mercury Marine and Mercury Racing certified) as well as offering brokerage and consignment, full concierge and transportation service and pre-owned boat inspection/certification and restoration.

The partnership and dedication to the highest level of customer service Pier 57 has created more than the top high-performance powerboat dealership in the nation. Like its boutique Cigarette and MTI models, Pier 57 has become a brand.
