They think he is about 12 - he has been captive for about 5 years. He has a great personality and runs like the wind!

LOL.... he's a captured wild Mustang Eli, the Bureau of Land Management used to have a program where they would round up the Mustangs and auction them to perspective owners with the promise that the new owners would gentle them and care for them properly. Mustangs make some of the best horses if properly gentled... (trained).... :0)....

No I don't understand but I know first hand how it works. Sure he likes to see the wild animals but as soon as that wild animal is his he wants to tame it!

While I don't completely agree with the program,,, I would rather see them adopted and cared for than needlessly poisoned or slaughtered. Here is an article written on the subject that explains it much better than I can... (I've met many of these horses,,, they are truly wonderful creatures!!!)... :0)...
