Ford Raptor tire wear
I know Vic owns one, perhaps other's as well.
Was checking out a used 14' CC Raptor yesterday, very clean, doesn't appear to have been abused or even off pavement. What did surprise me was for 18K miles, how much the stock BFG TA's had worn.
I know when I ran those same tires on a couple of different F-150 CCs I was easily getting mid 30K miles at a minimum and by 40K was replacing them. If I bought this truck I'd be considering replacing them immediately.
Just curious how they're wearing for other owners and if this is the norm for this rig. This one is at Bob Baker Jeep in Carlsbad, pretty loaded with options and they're asking $ 55,900.
I'm not in the market, just kinda ran into it while looking for a new ride for my sweetie ---- which is proving quite difficult --- OK honestly, frustrating, one day she wants a Porsche, the next a Jeep, then a car --- WTF ? I dunno, I'm just escorting her and along for the ride

I ditched the BFG's a long time ago. Been running Geolanders and I love them. Super quiet and they ride great 🏼

You ditched them because of wear issues ? So 18K - 25K is more the norm for the BFGs on the Raptor ?
I'm asking this because I'm considering moving from my 12' Eco-Boost 4x4 Platinum to the 17' Raptor at some point.
I'll have to check out those Geolanders as a replacement for the Pirelli Scorpion ATs on my Plat --- so thanks !!

Wear and worse, balance issues. If I remember correctly I battled with them for 25-30k then just couldn't deal anymore. Off they came

BFG quality went way downhill when they stopped making tires over 10 years ago. I used to run BFG M/T's exclusively and they just hit the wall. I'd rotate them more than I'd change the oil and it got to the point that that didn't even help. There was a point when like 3 out of 4 of the A/T's they were selling were coming back with separation issues as well.
When I say BFG stopped making tires, it's true. They went into the aerospace industry and sold the tire side of the business to Michelin. They've reworked a few things and the last time I was shopping tires for my truck the M/T's were more expensive than the Toyo Open Country muds that I have been getting 40K+ miles out of on a 35" tire. I'll stay where I'm at currently and don't forsee running BFG's on anything again. My next purchase will be a new set of 40's for my Jeep. Got Goodyears on that and they seem to be wearing well, and are lighter than the Toyo's.

I'm running General Grabbers and have had great success with the last THREE sets... Quiet/smooth and even do great in SNOW/ice...
I see that the Raptor has a very very wide rear axle compared to a typical F150, this width could be a factor along with the differential set up (for wear)... Along with towing/use...

I also went up a size. 370's I believe. But when my shocks are hot, I rub in sharp turns
