So... Out of curiosity I start putting the magnet on other "stainless" appliances.. I guess stainless doesn't mean stainless anymore..

All 400 series stainless is magnetic. 410, 430, 431, etc. Also 15-5ph, 17-4ph, 13-8ph, 18-8ph, 17-7ph, etc. are magnetic.

Most likely 17-4ph. 17% chromium, 4% nickel. Common shafting material for lower torque apps.
