He's running a 1.75 gearcase, I think he could pick up 3-5 mph if he tried a 1.62

I'm thinking if you put a surface piercing prop and a lower unit with a low water pick up, you would gain 1000rpms at least. I prefer a torquemaster with a Bob's cone over a sportmaster. It's a faster set up, at least on my boat. Originally Posted by Paul65K
