Post up your rides here and get a shot at some sort of prize (no idea what at this point but it wont be a koozie) if your boat is voted hotboat.com boat of the month. Make sure you post some of the details on your boat, manufacturer, length, engine info, speed, and where you like to boat. Good luck!
This is a brief photo essay showing just a few of the steps involved in completely rebuilding my Turbocharged 1990 Hallet Vector. After stripping the boat down, it went to Scott Kornowski in Lake Havasu to completely re-gelcoat the boat, inside and out. Then it made the trip back to California where it went back to the original builder of the boat,, Gary Teague at GT Performance in Montclair. GT documented some of the build on video, as well as the dyno test of the engine, which my friend Barry at Obnoxious Racing rebuilt for me.
The engine is a short deck 540 cubic inch Chevy, with a Gentry turbo kit, tuned to be able to run on pump gas, and if you look closely at the video you can see that it made over 1000 HP and also over 1000 FT/LBS torque, should be adequate for the family ski boat! Final tune was done in the GT Performance test pool, and it went straight to Parker as soon as it came out of the pool, for it's maiden run, the day before the Parker tube float. The boat's been through quite a bit of fuel this summer, making numerous trips up and down "the Strip"
