Boat covers
How serious are you when it comes to your boat cover, is it a WallyWorld special or an all out custom fit travel cover ? I've never used a travel cover, but seriously thinking of getting one made.

I have custom covers for my boats. They have two layers. The first is a very soft layer that prevents the boat from being scratched from the wind or when towing. The second is a Sunbrella cover with straps that buckle around the trailer. Get one made, you won't regret it.
Custom Canvas in Montclair or A-1 Canvas in Upland are great sources.

Thanks, I got a quote from a guy in Hesperia that described making that same cover. I'll call these guys for a quote.

Cool. Those Walmart covers are junk, especially if you store outdoors. It's better to have something custom made that wraps around the sides and will keep dirt out. If your seats and steering wheel are white, put white towels over the seats where the cover touches. If you have the under liner, you don't really need to, but I do anyways. I put those soft toilet lid covers over the wheels to keep them from getting scuffed up. They fit perfect.

I always garage the boat and my old cover is junk, I just want another custom fit cover made for indoors. The more i think about it, spending the money for a custom travel cover fits the bill for every condition.

I garage mine too. However sometimes you're out at the river and a monsoon rolls in and your boat is on the trailer in a driveway or hotel parking lot all night. Wouldn't you feel better having a wind and rain proof cover? I've ran into random rain twice on my way home down HWY 40. Thank heavens I had a good cover on the boat.
