    2500HD Brake Question

I've got about 83k miles on the odometer. When should replace the pads? I've heard of them lasting well over 100k.

I have 165K on mine and have never done them... most of mine are highway miles and who needs brakes when you have train horns???

Hell, I got over 60K on my last set of Toyo M/T's... there was still plenty of meat on the pads when they were doing the tires.

Lol! Now that I think about it, I hit the train horn button far more often that than the brake pedal!

I just got about 46k out of my last set of Toyo M/Ts and they were bald! My first set lived to about 37k but I rarley rotated them and drove like an asshole and performed several burnouts after I tuned the truck.

OK. I'm convinced! Whoo hoo. I'd rather spend the money on beer!

    2500HD Brake Question

I agree with these guys Dennis, but you can pull a front and back wheel off and inspect by looking through top of caliper. I had 85000 on a 3500 when I sold it and they were still 50%. I just had wheels off my 2500 with 31000 and they look brand new.

I had 135k and I changed mine and the new pads were the same as the old. I couldn't believe it. I changed them any way....

Maybe it's just a crazy idea, but I would change them when they wear out.
