the rv is a 1993, 460 ford, so big power for this little coach...I love this little one..pretty much have gone through every thing... new roof, new interior new paint and such...
I still have to figure out the generator issue, then it's gonna go live down in phoenix and be out at glamis...
What’s wrong with the genny?

when I got it , it only had 20 hrs on the gen... so either it broke 24 yrs ago and never got fix'd, or they just didn't use it... could not get it to crank , on the panel or the gen.... so the only way to check it... had to take it out... what I did find was someone that didn't know what they were doing broke the tabs off the fuse holders... that I could have fixed while it was still installed., so I ordered new ones from onan...I call onan and they want 200 to bench start it... might have to go that route, but hate to spend money on it if it just needs to be replaced....gonna see what I can do with it today, but seems to me I figured out that the solenoid was bad.... but forgot as it has been a while since I looked at it.. yesterday I got the water heater, roof ac, and fridge working, today, I worked on the furnace... couldn't get it going, went out side and took off the panel and found the circuit breaker poped on the fan motor... kept poping and what I found was from years of not used...the motor was locked up... so I got my hand in there and got it to spin , re sat the breaker on the motor and she took off,... squealed like a virgin.... but once she lubbed up and got some heat... she quiet'd right down...works like a champ now...so now... the gen...I'll post what I find...
the fool proof way is maintaince... you have to keep the dicor and calking in good shape... once water starts to leak... your done...
IMO, this rv was a total, the water leaks destroyed it,but... lots of "FREE" labor later... I restrored it... no way could, or would it be worth having a shop do something like this.... but it was a very rare coach that's hard to find,.. and all the tiogas had issues
the only thing that looks missing is a speedway muffeler sticker....
Rick King would have snatched that puppy up in a heartbeat!!! :action-smiley-035:
Looks good 2FF!
I was able to get the gen going, flushed out the fuel system and she starts and runs like a champ,... got every thing working now, fridge, water heater, furnace, ac , and generator..
Definitely a handyman
Wow looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Awesome 2ff, you two make a great team!
Sometimes you do things, and you know..."That anit gonna work"....and if it does ... not for long...lol..but I wanna make sure this RV is trouble free as can be..
the heater...although it was working, and stayed working....it wasn't really fixed... squeeling motor was a sign that it was gonna fail again...so I ordered a new fan motor ..the last one went 24 yrs,.. so it was done...so a little set back on the completion date...but it's gonna be right...this rv is turning out to be pretty cool... gonna be a nice little tow rig,and a great dune rig... might as well do it right...
LOL... so looking forward to that day...this rig has not leaked a drop of oil or anything,..I did notice a little antifreeze weeping out around the lower radiator hose ... hope it's not the water pump...but if it is, were gonna change out the hose's and if needed a water pump...the coach only has one battery for the living area... I noticed it was from 2012..might as well change it out ...everything propane seems to be working as it should...I have it plugged in at the house and keep everything running .. the converter keeps the battery at 13.5 volts..so that works as it should... but the battery drops volts quick when not plugged in..
ebay has been great to get all the parts, most every part has been available...so, very soon to be done...
getting real close to done, got the new furnace motor in, now she works as it should,...changed out the head and tail lights to new ones, that and new porch light, sewer compartment door, 120v plug on the exterior..pretty much everything I could in bolt I replaced.... gonna be a nice little rig, oh and did a new magnaflow quiet exhaust,... the problem with the anti freeze leak was someone put a new water pump and never got the clamp thing enough,... so that's good to go now,..
gonna do a new battery to day, and try to get new marker light lenses...I ordered summon maxium bags for the re, she has a little sway in the wind, and my son is gonna pull a box trailer with this rig.. so that will make it nice and safe...
