O.K.,......What does LOTO stand for? Is this the Lake of the Ozarks thing?
Yep, Lake Of The Ozarks = LOTO, also known as THE SHOOT OUT... Which is the Osage River (and tributaries) that flows from way way west (Kansas City area) and has several arms/lakes as shown below... As you can see it covers a VAST area...
As nice as LOTO is, the White River basin - Table Rock Lake/Bull Shoals Lakes is far superior... Pomme De Terre Lake is near the Wheatland - LUCAS drag boat facility and is a BEAUTIFUL lake with very rocky shoals/shores and oak trees...
The state of Missouri is "The Cave State" and is like swiss cheese in it's SUBTERRANEAN STRATA (mostly limestone / dolomite) so there are literally rivers flowing under much of the state...

Map of the MAJOR/LARGE spring distribution which is mostly south of the Missouri River basin. NOTE: The legend is in MILLIONS OF GALLONS PER DAY, there are smaller springs all over the entire state north and south due to the swiss cheese limestone strata:

Beautifull! I must admit, although there are some guys on the internet that have this kind of dough ( for those type boats ), I'm not one of them. That's just too rich for my blood. A big thumbs up for those that can.
Nice pics
Good stuff.
This is the first year we haven't gone in almost 25 years, it's by far the best boating week and weekend of the year, if you're into powerboating, we moved from LOTO back closer to the Grandkids this past Spring, missed them to much and the 3 hour drive back and forth was getting old, we lived fulltime on the water for 12 years from 2005 until now, it's a boater paradise, here's the old place.
After the fourth grandbaby was born this past October it was time to move, especially since we live in SWF for the 6 Winter months, I hate cold weather.
Great pics, Bruce, thanks, I'll give you a shout later.
