This started out as building something to cover the ugly pool equipment. Needless to say it snowballed into something different. Started today with just framing and making the top

]The bar is getting wrapped in 1" bamboo. The bar top is gonna be out of resin. I'm laying out some weaved Palm leaves and doing a resin pour over the top. Should be interesting as I've never done it. Then it'll have a thatch roof.
Here is where it'll be. It's on wheels too so I can move it easily.

Nice! Kill two birds with one stone.
Looks good and kinda tall.

Got the inlay cut and layed out on the top. Waiting on the resin to show up to pour over it. Hopefully get that done later this week so I can install the bamboo around it and build the thatch roof.

How thick will the resin top be?
I wanted to leave a small ridge similar to a real bar to keep drinks from sliding off or something but was worried about standing water staining the resin top. I'll figure it out once the resin shows up and we start pouring it on. Not sure how this is gonna turn out being it's my first time attempting this.
Small notches, kinda dental molding style. Leave a lip to keep drinks in place, leave a drain for water... win win.
So let me get this straight. You're building this to cover the ugly pool equipment yet when visitors come over you'll move it to a different location to use it as a bar? :D:D
