The 2013 season will conclude where it began. Regardless of the fact that the Pro Stock Motorcycle, Matt Smith, and Funny Car, John Force, NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series have been determined, these fierce competitors will still be out for speed. The Pomona racetrack typically enjoys cool *temperatures that translate into perfect racing conditions and a spectacular, no-holds-barred battle as to who will win the last race of the series.
2012 Recap: Antron Brown (Top Fuel) and Jack Beckman (Funny Car) raced to their first NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world *championships. Brown suffered a heartbreaking loss in the opening round and had to wait until Brandon Bernstein upset Tony Schumacher in a thrilling final round to be crowned the champion. Beckman learned his fate one round earlier when Ron Capps lost in front of him in the semifinal round. Cruz Pedregon won the Funny Car title and, like Bernstein, became the 10th different winner in his category in 2012. Allen Johnson (Pro Stock) clinched the title by qualifying and earned his seventh win of the year. Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also clinched during *qualifying and later lost in the final round to teammate Andrew Hines.
As usual I'm rooting for my girl Courtney Force to finish with a record setting win!
