The Optis really put a smile on your face at the gas pump. What warranty duration did you get Paul? Reason I ask is the lower unit is a weak link. I had one seize do to water intrusion. The gearcase does not have have enough room for heat expansion of the oil and pushes seals out. There are a couple of aftermarket things you can install when you go out of warranty if your concerned.

Mine had a 2 year warranty and it expired in March......I have the TorqueMaster lower unit which explains the gear ratio.....hopefully it's a little more stout.Quote:

Ok, didn't realize you have Torque Master. I have not heard of any problems with them so you should be good. Your getting a lot out of that combination, kudos to whomever set it up. Not sure if you would benefit from a Sportmaster given that your already running 75+. I wish I was close, I would gladly let you expeiriment with my SM 1.62. It only takes 20 minutes to swap gearcases.Quote:
