Can anyone really argue that Red Stripe is the true beer of boating?
I can argue that Dos Equis is. Even comes in a can if you search hard enough.
I am going to get laughed off this forum, but I mostly drink Select 55. It's an acquired taste.:p
I'm not promoting this beer in any way. Had a chance to sample it in Morro Bay awhile back. Absolutely tasty beer.

I can drink a shit load of miller 64's before I fall down.
As long as it 's cold it's all good.
Best beer in the Country is Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewing. If you don't believe me, google it. The best beer for boating is Bud Light.
Pretty hard to name an exact favorite. It really just depends at the time. However a few beers that I've had on tap at home lately would be Racer 5, Ranger IPA and my Buddy's beer which is brewed in Irvine, GreatHead Brew Red IPA.
Every now and again or in the summer river heat I'll go with Coors Light or a Dos Equis Lager.
As long as its spelled b-e-e-r its fine by me. The more thee merrier!
Lately I've been into Firestone 805.. Great tasting beer.

When I get the hankerin' for something else, I enjoy Pilsner Urquell quite a bit.
