I don't know how many of you have turned on to The Struts. They're pretty good, relatively new band.
I will check them out Spike... Did you ever cross paths from the guys in "The Blasters", Phil and Dave Alvin from Downey CA?
I thought that perhaps with your repertoire you may have checked out their musica OR may know them personally...??? (the movie Streets o Fire is good too)

Yeah....years ago, maybe late 80s/early 90s, when Stray Cats were the thing, Rockabilly was making inroads, and my group was mixed in the thick of the movement, We all seemed to be rotating around various clubs in L.A. There were so many acts doing their thing back then. I don't ever remember actually performing with the Blasters though. One of the clubs we used to play at frequently was the World famous Palomino Club, which is a whole 'nuther story!Attachment 68246Attachment 68247
The palomino, Do you remember filthy Mcnastys then it became fm station?
Boy, I sure do, right there on the corner. ( Lankershim and Victory in the Valley ),but we (I) never played there, Chased a few skirts there, saw a few bands there...those were heady days. Alcohol and Cocaine ran rampant. Its really too bad that I was never a camera buff then, because what I can see in my minds eye seems too wild to comprehend, without photographic documenting. Those days, I was a musician, dressed and lived a musician's lifestyle, with all the sordid stories that accompany the genre. Still love music ......
Keep them in your minds eye, just in case you end up running for POTUS... ;)
Fighting a massive tension headache trying to relax. Even though I'm 49 I really enjoy this music especially on the boat in STEAMBOAT or ripping across MEADhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8f62271cd3.jpg
