Paul65 looks young for a retired dude. ;)
Paul, if you dont mind me asking, what does 65K signify?
It's from the first Forum (BB actually) I got involved in around 1995ish which was a Classic Mustang forum. In 1965/66 the cars with High Performance motors (as well as the Shelby's) were factory "K" codes. I had a number of Mustangs through that period but the most notable was a 1965 HiPo Convertible ("K" code)......hence the moniker Paul (my Name) 65K (for the car).......been my screen name for pretty much everything ever since.
Here's a couple of pics of the car in question......no I don't have it anymore, I sold it about 10 years agoAttachment 19797Attachment 19798Attachment 19799
Thanks Paul, learned something about Mustangs. Cool!
Coudn't help but spot Sue sporting the Force manbeater in post 105. :thumb:
John Force Racing fan here also.
Paul my godfather started California Mustang way back when and sold it years later to the current owners. I had a 66GT conv., got stolen and all we found left of it was the frame and rear 1/4 panels, it use to sit on top of ACE Auto Wrecking back in the day, my godfather owned ACE and quite a few other wrecking yards in the day, if he didn't own them he bank rolled them, LOL!!
Mustangs are very hot and expensive right now.
You got that right Phil..........Thanks for the kind words.
I sold that car for ~$25K........today I'd get 40K easy.....it was a very special car.
65 HiPo Convertible
Factory GT
Pony Interior W/ Full Console
Power Top
9" rear end
4:11 gears
8K Rally Pac
The only thing that was a drag was that it would be turning 3500 RPM at 70MPH......but it sure sounded good :D
