Looks like a hotboat.com collar is in order.....
Gotta say the 4th at the river, this year, had to be the busiest year I can ever remember. Riverland was absolutely packed, wall to wall, assholes and elbows all weekend. Not a boat parking spot to be had anywhere.
Pretty much, from what I saw, all the restaurants and bars seemed to have done well. We hung out at the Pirate for awhile and Sundance. Sundance was a little slow Saturday am, but it got pretty busy a little later in the day.
I was not on my boat, so I didn't really notice anything to crazy on the water. I did see a couple of my buddies in their 26's and they seemed to be okay as far as the water goes. Too busy for my tastes and like a washing machines at times.
So between Tube Float and The 4th, it seems to be things are ramping up a bit. I saw a couple new boats being towed out and quite a few boats on the water I've never seen before. Hopefully this means things, in the boating world, are improving.
All-in-all, great 4th weekend!! Hope everyone got through it ok and had a good time. I know I did :D
I learned to water ski on the 4th of july 50+ years ago at hansen dam in sylmar. tow boat was a cracker box with a t bird motor. Is there even a lake there now or has all that changed.
