Silly girl, you're all of them.
I know I'm kinda of making light of a legitimate concern, but honestly, there is no clique here. At least not the unfriendly or uninviting type.
We want you to post, really. No joke.
I didn't make the cut. :(
Paul can you do the hugs thread again tomorrow? :D
Seriously, at least try posting if you want to make friends, I'm sure you have something in common with others here, if public is not your thing, try the PM method to meet potential friends.
I have crazy thoughts sometimes, here's one;
I was a member on the original HB but I doubt I ever posted bc I was shy and then it imploded bf I got courage to post. I wanted to post so bad but was afraid to. My image of the Sandbar was exactly the Sandbar up river in the Gorge, 500 boats, a thousand people drinking and partying. I drove by it several times bf I got courage to stop and have a beer, man, I'm glad I did so now. ;)

Vic, you do realize you're making my point here.
I think you are smart enough to know I could give a rat fuck about the trashing. '
But do the others just reading. Are they ready and willing to post and get trashed by you and your core group?
I have no idea, and don't give a fuck. Its not my site, and I was not the one that asked the question why. You are. You are the one that said he had no clue. No shit Vic. You think you might be clueless? Who knew.
Please see above.
Who's trashing whom? I just read through at least 5 posts trashing me for being friendly and inquisitive. I think I make way more people comfortable to post and am welcoming. If you read my posts you KNOW I won't trash you and I will welcome you. Frankly, that's why people who see me at random places feel free to come up to me in person. Can't possibly be because they want to get trashed in person.
Lol!! Bruce, I'm sending a therapist over! :D
I grew up learning to ski at age 6. When our family went boating it was to ski not to socialize (we socialized plenty at home). When we attended boat races it wasn't to socialize, it was to watch the races.
When I got old enough to get my 1st boat it was much like the cars I had at the time. Make it faster and go have fun running it and looking for races.
Into my 20's, I realized I really didn't have the love for skiing like my dad so I did less and less of it. My enjoyment came from racing across the water either alone or next to someone and if some chicks happened along well, it was time to socialize. :D
When I got with boating clubs (25 years old) I noticed that the club guys enjoyed the social aspects, but the subject matter stayed boats (the common bond). I feel like some of you folks are like a bunch of kids bragging about what you drank the night before which doesn't interest me in the least. Anybody can obliterate themselves with alcohol so what makes it something to brag about?
I've been on havasu and parker for many 3 day weekends, but those trips were purely for trim trolling as I knew the crowds would ruin the water.
Socializing is fine, but for me it's not why I go boating or click on boating sites. I might participate occasionally in social sections, but it's not why I'm here.
My perception Vic, or that of someone else just reading.
You the others making it real friendly here to discuss your question that started this exchange? No ridiculing? Like I said Vic, you know I don't give a rats ass. Not so sure about the guy that isn't posting, and how he feels bout doing so in the future. You either want participation from outside, you don't. Your driving the bus here.
A couple others agreed with me if you BOTHER to go read them. But lets mock the idea as ludicrous, be WE know its not true. Right Vic. If you ridicule me, is it just me, or anybody that might have agreed with me as well?
All this thread is missing is Grads. :D
