Today's race in Fontucky wasn't Goodyear's finest hour. Tires, not performance nor skill, decided the race. JJ dominated all day and Gordon, twice came from the back of the pack to contend for first place, proving he probably had the fastest car and best skills in today's race, but Goodyear decided the race. :bangmyhead::bangmyhead::bangmyhead:
Tires were definitely an issue, but when Jeff would start catching Jimmy, I am pretty sure because the "new" wore off Jimmy's tires, and he slowed more than Jeff. I was basing that primarily on starting line MPH that was posting When the yellow came out with around 30 laps remaining, I kind of figured it could be a toss up whether Jimmy's tires (and speed) would last that long, and of course the tire failed.Quote:
