Funny thing is when I worked for a large multinational years ago, their IT people always pushed using at least one character like @. So their corporate IT password was Fishing@66. And it's still the same to this day LOL

When I was working on the refinery systems, they had the same arrangement with a key chain fob. You entered your 4-8 digits and they would send your log in code of 8 digits. Your 4-8 ID you as the user. You had 20 seconds to enter the pass code, when it popped up. If you missed, you had 4 attempts, and then had to wait 15 mintues. 4 attempt periods in 1 hr, and if you couldn't get logged on you were locked out and need to see the IT department before you could log on again.
