Wanted to do a little write up on this but I've been so damn busy and cutting the weekend short with the wind has taken a little wind out of my sails :D
All-in-all, great day of racing. No body was injured and the fiberglass damage I saw looked fairly easily repairable. I'm gonna catch hell for this, but my favorite class last weekend was Comp Jets. Those guys brought it imo. They were banging buoys and brought their A game. Pretty exciting to watch really.
Saturday, from a spectators perspective, seemed to come off without a hitch. Glad to see Ross and Company had things lined out to a T. As I understand it there were no schedule changes at the drivers meeting. And with the exception of one or two heat changes due to mechanical issues, Saturday went well. I was actually glad to hear the lunch break whistle blow.
It was good to see a good turnout of boats and spectators. I believe Sunday would have been just as good if not better had the wind not kicked up.
Great weekend all-in-all. Got to spend some long over due time on the water Friday. Hung out with good friends. Great day of racing Saturday. One of those weekends you just don't want to end.

Nice shots... TY sir...
TY Father God for keeping Tom Bandy safe!!! AND the rest of the racers!!!
That Cyclone is going to be hard to contend with for the smaller/lighter hulls in the rough water... It looked like Tom had the HP/weight advantage to pull him down the straits pretty easily... Mr Mason said that THAT particular Cyclone is considerably lighter than his other hull that runs the Catalina ski race, it has a traditional jet set up and does NOT run the Z-drive into the JET like his OTHER Cyclone with twin hairdryers on the BIGGER Hemi ford (catalina ski boat)...
