I've always wondered if this is the same boat. Its for sale back east, I'd love to have this thing to run in the SE class

Looks to me like the one that Bob posted is a center deck (mid-deck) deal while the race boat doesn't appear to have that. Perhaps added later?
Good eye. It is possable that the center deck was added. When you look at the race boat it has braces where the center deck would be. It is possible that a center deck was added, IF IT IS THE SAME BOAT. The braces may have saved weight over having a center deck.
Not sure how much power that baby hemi put out, but I bet it wasn't the hot setup long after that was built. Small block Chevies really started to come into their own right around 63 with the introduction of the 327 and the bigger heads. But it sure has more appeal with the hemi and six 2s then any SBC, regardless the power that mini hemi made.
Sharp shooter you have quite the library of photographs I'm impressed. Thank you for sharing with all of us
WOW, I thought that house boat engine had it's work cut out for it with that 45 HP or so 4 cylinder Merc. But that toon boat's engine is REALLY pushing the envelope with that little wacker.. Guess nobody was in too much of hurry in those things back then, just so long as they did move. ;)
I hope Vin is not in any of these. ;)
