I bet the guys name is richard in the pic.
LOL!!! I know my best buddy told me he went to the river with a guy that had a wood decker with a blown hemi...thinking that is the one.
Attachment 21059It's all wood, the inside looks very cool, might have been the first one made, then used as a plug for a mold.

SFV2RVR's Schiada is absolutely a work of art
Had a great time, we camped at the Den, a lot of "Bench Racing" all weekend, more boats were running Sunday morning as the wind subsided somewhat.
Aqua Craft ?

Pretty sure this is a D&H, and the one in the Parker show post is not.
I would say the wood decker at Parker is possibly a Wickens. The deck is very "Rayson like" but the bottom is not.
Best guess, its a Miller that has a very non typical Miller deck.
DEFINITLY NOT A RAYSON CRAFT!!!! There has only been one all wood Rayson EVER made, and that's definitely not it!
I doubt its a plug. WAAAAY too much work just for a plug. Plugs tend to be very crudely made and not at all structural.
Unbelievable beautiful boat though. Just one more reason to say MILLER

I'm guessing this is Phil Lukins Ford powered flattie.

Great pics WMC!
The flatty was Ted Phillips D&H ski boat, Satuday was the first time that I've seen one. I talked to the owner and this is what he told me.
The D&H Sled was Ted and Vi's race boat, my dad ran it for a season when Ted decided to go with a hydro. The last time I visited with Ted he did not know where the sled was at.
Yep that's Phil's boat, lost a lifter yesterday and got towed in by the 197 Schiada.
Compare the sides of the Parker boat to the D&H drag flat. The D&H is slab sided, and the Parker boat is anything but slab sided. The bottom of the D&H is very very very unqiue as well. One of the earliest "runner" type bottoms plus a step midship. I have seen a couple D&H in my life, and the boat at Parker IS NOT a D&H.
This is a pic of the sister ship to the Mixed Emotions boat, and by far the most famous of the D&H boats.

I have to agree with you about the "Woodpecker" being more famous, then again I'm biased.
Here are a couple of pix of the Woodpecker. These pix were taken on Birch st. in Hawthorne, next to the Dunaway and Douglas mortuary.
I am not sure if the boat was still red in these pix or if this was right after the new color, green.

Few more shots of Mixed Emotions. Attachment 21162 Attachment 21163 Attachment 21164
Thanks Vic! maybe the owner will show up here.
I was about to name my boat "Mixed Emotions" now I've seen this boat I'll need a new name. I had named my boat the "Mortician" then had to change it after I found out that Buzz Coats old boat was still in existence and is owned by Spike Morelli.
