I was at Cadillac from 05-09 and the trade ins I hated seeing the most were 750 BMWs, range rovers, or god forbid, the Mercedes G wagon ( the jeep looking thing) By far, the most upside down I have ever seen people.
I paid $13,000 for my '68 Chevelle back in 2005.
Here's where NADA has it valued today. :)
1968 Chevelle SS396
*Low Retail $17,175 *Average Retail $38,500 * High Retail $60,375
Original price $2,899 :)
Even at $17,175 I'm dollars ahead. :partyguy:
EVERYTHING is priced pretty insane lately...or so I think.
Look at what goes into the new cars and trucks.
Tires are sky high
Batteries as high as I have ever seen.
All the raw materials are up there.
Steel, aluminum crazy.
Everything...look at lumber and building supplies.
Looks like the sky is the limit for just about all markets.
BUT...
national news last night reports that the Dow and Nasdaq drop due to polar vortex, cold temps, and rotten weather.
Really???
Pretty pi$$ poor excuse in my eyes.
