No Eli, that's THEE VIC.
Jr if you're old enough. His dad was a founder and charter member of SEMA.
I used to ride my mini bike down alleys and rail road easements to get to his dad's shop. I'd be out of gas when I got there and Sr. would fill my tank and give me one of the small 6 oz bottle Cokes. Went there all the time during the summer. Vic Jr was going to USC but worked at the shop during breaks. Sr. was the coolest man on earth. I went there one day, and Jr filled my tank and gave me the Coke, then told his dad was sick and wouldn't be coming into work any more. I had just turned 10, and I think I cried for 2 days.

That's an awesome story Bob!
I grew up in Culver City which was the epicenter of horsepower in the 60s. I don't know if I was lucky, or I am the product of my surroundings. I could be at Isky cams, Edelbrock(on the city border), Halibrand, Traco Engineering, Falconer and Dunn, Hilborn, Sandy Belonde Mufflers, Hedman Hedders were all in Culver City, or near by, and I could be at any of them in less than 15 minutes from my house on a bicycle or my mini bike. Most of them were involved in Indy cars, or dragsters, and there was always something cool going on.
But Edelbrocks was always my favorite destination.
