Johnny Cash and his family were a true American dynasty.
First vid features a 19-year old Anita Carter, singing with Hank Sr in one of only 2 videos ever taken of Hank Sr. Truly a piece of country music history. It was also a country music first, a live duet with a female singer/male singer, and it was rumored the performance was followed in short time by a marriage proposal from Hank...
But, any real Cash fan knows that marriage never took place since Carter went on to marry Bob Wooton. So the second vid is Carter singing one of Kristofferson's many gems.
Apparently too, Anita Carter first recorded her sister June's song "Love's Ring of Fire", which Cash later successfully re-arranged with horns, and turned into a mega hit.
