My boat idles up around 20. If going 30 to 40 on plane with no plate it doesn't take much to hop the boat, just a tap. If you mash the plate and throttle together and let off quick you'll get some hang time. :D

I can't find it, but there is a pic of Scarlata flying the Cole Cash around somewhere. I think it was actually in Hot Boat Mag back in the day.

These boats have 2 and sometimes 3 pedals. A slight tap of the gas and you're air born. Getting them up to speed requires more than just pushing the gas.... :)
