There's a reason Facebook has it, because it brings in more interaction.
Also if you could enable it to where I can "thank" my own posts that would be great. Sometimes I just post something and I think to myself damn that was good. :D ;)

I like the idea of a like button but I can see how it may hinder people from posting.
