Actually no where near Iowa, 300 miles north.
We got things close to sharks, it's the the fish of 10,000 casts, wifey caught a 42 incher last summer first time out. Fins and teeth.

In the case of the link i posted, its most certainly a set of shark jaws they found BUT nobody knows for sure how they got into the river. There have been rumors of different kinds of sharks in the Mississippi around St Louis where I am BUT that set of shark jaws is the closest thing Ive seen as firm evidence. Maybe someone brought a shark back up north to eat and dumped the left overs in the river......?????

The Missouri River out near Washington & near the confluence of the Osage has become "trophy" waters for big blues... Most of those big boys are being "catch and releaseD" (parolly not worth eating anyway)... There are some charters for the big blues... :)
That is a nice one for sure!
It was on the news last night that some guys caught (and released) a 103 lb catfish over the weekend at the riverfront around the arch, thing was "HUGE"
