Nothing official, but there is talk that Mercury Racing may introduce a special 'racing' edition of their 1350 HP package rated at 1700 HP at the 2013 Miami Boat Show. Most likely a 'race gas only' engine. Wonder what the price tag will be? I guess if I have to ask, I won't be buying a pair!
Awesome!!! From the sound of it, the Miami show will be a big one! Lots of new boats and products to be released.
I'm thinking 1700 in a M29 would work great if you could get a prop big enough to keep it off the rev limiter :D
I'm assuming if Mercury Racing introduces the new 1700 HP at Miami, it will make it's southwest debut at the Lake Havasu Boat Show and Desert
