Good afternoon everyone. I work for the new owners of Hotboat.com. We had hoped to have a roll out in the near future but something has come up where we felt the need to advise everyone sooner.

Tapatalk, as those of you who use it will soon notice, has or soon will be, a subscription service. Unless you can deal with their ads, you will have to pay some sort of fee.

I can assure you this fee is not a Hotboat.com fee, nor will Hotboat.com receive any of the proceeds from those who sign up for the new service.

Its unfortunate that Tapatalk has chosen to move to a fee based service. I assume just as in any online service, it is the only way for them to generate revenue.

For those who use Tapatalk and chose not to subscribe to their ad free service, Hotboat.com is semi mobile friendly. And we will be working toward making it more mobile friendly in the future.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we do not blame you should you decide to discontinue using Tapatalk.

I had the old tapatalk pro that I paid like $10 for and all of a sudden a couple years ago, they stopped supporting it and I was unable to use it anymore. Now I need to rebuy it?
Is the fee going to be 1 time or monthly?

Thank you. Bittersweet for sure. So far I haven't been asked to give up my screen name, but if I am, have another in mind :)

So far the new people have been great to me.

No plans on shutting it down. Hopefully spruce it up a little, new carpets, drapes and reseed the lawn. Poof, instant gratification :)
