Thank you for posting that video. Brings back great memories of growing up going to Parker during the 60's. Got to ski for the first time behind a boat at Big Bend, on my 5th birthday. Flash forward to '88, taught my daughter to ski at Parker. She took off from Big Bend. What a thrill to be able to have my daughter get to learn how to ski in the exact same place I did, 30 years before. Just can't buy great memories like that.

Man, that is an awesome story. I actually grew up going to Lake Mohave with my dad after he moved to Fort Mohave. I will still cruise the lake and reminisce on the times I had there back then.

Can only imagine what it was like to be a river rat back then. I'm guessing your abs and a lot of other parts of your body got a good workout on a regular basis LOL

Maybe you've seen it before. I uploaded it 4 years ago and it's been posted on every boat site. I've also posted quite a few pics form Kinder's where most of this vid was shot from.

Love this photo. I see a wood decked flatbottom, early Hemi power, Weiand dual quad intake, two AFB carbs topped with Cal-Custom scoops, vertex magneto ignition, hydraulic throttle ( likely a Marbet unit ), what look to be Cal-Marine wet logs, Offy 3661 breathers on the valve covers, all of the era and it all works for me.
What's more, the kids are having a good time....family fun.

We are very lucky to have these great memories. Even luckier that guys like Jerry have stuff on video.

LOL!!!!!

Best times for sure. Always spent my birthday in Parker as a kid. What more could you ask for. Get up early, have Dad and Grandpa take you out waterskiing. Such a blast back then.
