Tommy Johnson to test the vacated Massey dragster at PBIR this weekend. Brittany will be there testing also in anticipation of a start at Pomona Feb. Rocky boots moving from Kalitta to DSR on Hagans flopper.

I thought Lori Johns was hot back in the day!! She wasn't too bad behind the wheel either.

Speaking of NHRA, looks like we're gonna be in Vegas next year for the unnamed NHRA nationals in Oct. besides the regular weekend we do in Sonoma each year.

Leah Pruett tweeted that she will pilot the Dote top fueler in '13. This will be an interesting contest for rookie of the year between her and Brittany Force.

I have heard rumor that they have agreed to run the 2014 early race then close soon after.

This entire saga is a mess of Biblical proportion. For now, the best rumors are that the NHRA will lease the drag strip (multi-year,) Bob Bondurant will retain his facility for another year and Lucas Oil will lease the lake but the long term prognosis is not good for Charlie Allen or the facility in general. The Indians want an outlet mall there. All rumors, but good ones. :D

Neff not driving in '13, will tune John's car. Guido will tune Brittany's new Castrol sponsored TF'r. Roberts team pretty much stays same. Net 3 FC's and 1 TF'r.

It will be interesting to see how Brittany does. As far as the car goes, they have Jimmy Prock who can tune the long cars as well as anyone alive and now that Zippy will be tuning John's car I think he can expect to see better results than last year from that team. All in all, JFR is still the best operation in the NHRA, in my humble opinion.

Most likely we'll attend the Friday and possibly Saturday event just to catch up with friends. Arlene and Warren Johnson are great to sit and talk with on Saturday after qualifications have been completed. The heat's off at that point and the last couple years Warren talked with my sons Paul and Buzzz for well over an hour. We have lots of friends in the other classes we like to catch as well.
