In my 39+ years on this planet (technically the + makes this a true statement lol), I have never done Vegas for NYE.

Looks like that may change this year.

Should I be scared?
Should I get one of those pet tracker implants in case I get lost?
What are the symptoms of being roofied?
Should I not take my phone so no pics can be taken?
Should I hire a bodyguard for the night?

LOL

Good luck. Book a few days beyond the weekend so the traffic home won't be so bad.

I have always wanted to do this as well.
Kim has been and tells me it is PACKED!!!
As in cant walk on the strip packed.

Take lots of pics and tell me if its worth it. Maybe I can talk her into it for next year.

I may have to put protective measures in place.

Spare credit cards.
Secret hiding places for my id.
A nametag and hotel room info LOL

I've done this twice and was considering a third time this year.

Both of my former experiences were fun. A sardine in a can has more space than people in the hotels/clubs/streets etc. But, there are plenty of people who will try to kiss you at midnight. Blekh!!

From my experience, if you want to go to a place other than your hotel to celebrate, you need a reservation or get there really early. They put security at the hotel entrance, no key ...no entrance ...unless you're a single hot chick of course.

I think everyone should do it at least once. But, be prepared for chaos. The cab ride from the Mirage to the MGM took over an hour. I couldn't walk that far in 4 inch spike heels so we sat in traffic. But, it was totally worth it!

DO NOT drive home on the first and if possible wait until the 3rd. Or the drive will take 8+ hours.

Stay at the hotel you plan on partying at, it will reduce a lot of BS and waiting in traffic.

First time for NYE was 2000 and the last time was 2012, the year before we moved to SWF, 13 years to be exact, we stayed at Venetian for the first four then MB for the rest fo them, it's a zoo, but it's crazy fun, plan on being totally worn out for a few days..............always keep your wallet in your front pocket, take a coat/jacket if you're going outside, have fun and take pics.

I was in Vegas for the millennium. Holy shit! Never seen so many people in one place in my life. Las Vegas Blvd was shut down and the entire world was walking up and down the blvd like cattle in a field only with cocktails in hand. Hotels had street vendors serving drinks and beer in plastic containers. The shit hotels had 25 dollar minimum tables if you could even get on a table. The high roller rooms were just as bad. I had fun but I really had to work at it. I'd imagine I could have more fun in a private party status at a club but now we're talking thousands of dollars for 100 dollars worth of liquor. Not my scene. Then there is the drive! Even flying is gonna suck unless you go private or fly yourself into Henderson. I'll go on non holiday weekends.

Did vegas a few times. To keep costs down took a motorhome and parked behind Luxor many years ago, the next time after MGM bought them they said no. A few years ago parked behind ballys. Security said no problem. Dry camped. The ladies used the spa, cheap. The crowds and lines for any food or bar was insane. Ate and drank in the rv. New Years they closed the strip to cars around 7:00. walked to the front of ballys on to the strip at 10:30 or so drink in hand. No problems everybody friendly, great fireworks. Everybody should experience a crowd of 3-400k people. A couple of us split the drive home(10 hrs+) everybody else partied, I think there was 8 or 10 of us.
