Was just advised from two reliable sources that Bob Graf (GN7) took his final lap today.

Most of us are orphans from other web based boating sites and several of us have known Bob for many years.

He brought a shit ton of history and shitloads of knowledge of all things performance and while Bob lacked tact and people skills, he did bring that history and knowledge from his heart.

I respected Bob on many levels and I am saddened by his passing.

See on you the next lap Bob...

Very sad to hear this, really. I know he was not in good health for some time, but he continued to be true to his character. And for that reason alone I appreciated him. I didn't know him personally, only met him once in person. He was relentless. He was real. He never waivered on his beliefs or thoughts. He was a pain in the ass. And I thank him for that.

RIP Bob.

I hope, that we can all still learn from dedication to belief, non-waivering and being a true, 'pain-in-the-ass' when called for...

Sorry to hear that news,, wish I had a photo of him picking up a tall deck block from me and sticking it in the trunk of his little Mustang. Truly a different guy in person than he came across on the boards in most instances.

Interestingly enough, he was kind of like a gentler, softer Bob in many of his posts over here on HB.

We have lost one of the most knolegable guys in our sport, I always looked up to Bob, he owned one of the badest GN boats out there. Our thoughts go out to Bill, Diane and the entire family. I will miss his post and peice of mind wich he never held back.

You will be missed Bobby (GN-7)

I'm so glad that I made the effort to track him down and shake his hand at LB in August... One of lifes lessons that I am reminded of over and over, make time/take time because life is short...

Bob and I had plenty of nice friendly conversations on the phone over the last decade about all things FORD and his views on GN hulls... What appeared online between he and I was usually the tail end of a few phone calls or lengthy e-mail discussions...

The rough conversations have already started to fade and our funny YEARS of banter take on new meaning...

I had problems with my high tech furnace and needed a sanity check on my fix some 8 years ago, he was right there to discuss and give me the peace of mind I needed...

Actually he reminded me of my late brother in many ways...

Bob believed in the same GOD as me and the same HEAVEN as me and the same JESUS as me, I believe that he now has his glorified body and is in a FARRRRRRRRRR better place than us that still call earth home for a while longer...

I have been off the grid for the last week and just saw this. I wish I would have been able to meet you in person. I guess my Siggy Line won't be going away anytime soon. RIP GN7 and thank you for all the great information.
