A few changes from last year. Just took out my enormous Eucalyptus tree two weeks ago which has really opened up the front of my house. Will be getting some blow up stuff to go where the tree was.

This is how it looks so far. More to come in the next weeks.

Good looking houses. I generally always decorate the weekend of Thanksgiving but we are forgoing the decorations this year. Figure since we are supposed to be moving on dec 28th it really doesn't make since to un pack and re pack it all.

I used to go all out like you Matthew......now I got 3 strands of new school LED's :D And being 6'2" I can reach 90% of them without a stepladder. Took me all of 10 minutes on Black Friday. :)
The inside is the wifes deal and so far she is slacking. She hasn't even asked me to get down the 4 crates/boxes of crap. :D

When I lived in Pedro, I always got my trees from Jorge Jones Christmas Trees on 9th and Western.
Actually worked there 3 seasons when I was in HS...

We actually got that asshole started in the christmas tree business. My aunt was married to his brother Greg. Another piece of work. My family's been selling trees for over 50 years.

He is a big time asshole but I must say, he ran a tight ship....No bullshitting around there on that lot..Seems like he knew his shit also...
I remember him telling me he makes his money for the year selling Christmas Trees and pumpkins.

Yes they make plenty for the year selling trees and pumpkins. My aunt pays for her lot rent, pumpkins and trees all with just the pumpkin sales. The trees sale are all profit. [emoji15][emoji15]

My aunt is off of pch and 21st street in Manhattan beach. My cousin is on pch just past Hawthorne if you're heading to the beach. My grandparents for years had their lot in Lakewood. Years ago I had one on western ave at the bottom of caddington dr in Pedro. Then we moved to the corner of Pch and oak street in Lomita for a few years.

You don't remember those double stack globe style hurricane lamps that your Gramma had? I bought this dump furnished from my step-Mom and she's 85 years old.

Standard decor for homes of the 1940's...

I don't remember what I had for dinner last night.

But no, there's another reflection in that window. Do your lights go on and off by themselves?

We went about 5:30 and we were good to go. Parked a couple streets south of Thoroughbred and found ample spots. As we were leaving around 7:30, the line was all the way down to 19th. Talked to a buddy of mine today and he walked it around 7:30 and said he was lucky to be alive.

I duct tape a plastic yard rake to my motorhome washer extension pole in order to not use a ladder on the take down.
