Why can't you use standard buddy bearing caps?

1.980 spindle seal EBAY (http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEARING-BUDDY-KIT-1-SPINDLE-SEAL-FOR-1-980-SEAL-DIAMETER-1-98-/380629060183?pt=Boat_Parts_Accessories_Gear&hash=item589f428a57&vxp=mtr)

1.980 black caps (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shoreline-Marine-SL52286-Black-Bearing-Protector-Caps-1-980-Pair-/380974497591?pt=US_Taxidermy&hash=item58b3d97f37)

I can get them if we don't already stock them. Do they screw in or press in. 1.98 is pretty common size. Ours won't be blue. Probable Steel with a black plug.
