The rub rail got scratched backing into the garage. Is there a process to taking out scratches on stainless rub rails? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction on the web? You can't see it all that well in this pic but here it is anyway. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/ju3uru4e.jpg

By the time you take it off
And sand and buff it, it's probably cheaper to have that section replaced.

Rex Marine had a bunch of rub rails he bought off another company. If there's a section and not one continuous piece, then give him a ring.

It is just a section. About 6' in length. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Have you had a 'chat' with the dumbassed driver that backed the boat in?

:D

It isn't hard to sand and buff it out. You can probably do it on the boat. Tape off the hell on either side so it doesn't get hit with sand paper.

Otherwise you can get new pieces anywhere but you may have to cut them if what you are replacing isn't a full 12 ft piece.

Like Kurt said, it wasn't at his place. I was having some work done and it happened there. After seeing it in person this weekend it wasn't that bad.
