The stock plastic housing almost cracked in half causing a slow leak. I noticed the water in the bilge at pirates but didn't locate the source until today.

Could have been an ouch.Luck is with me. $66 and a few beers....she's purring again.

I drink no matter what. I use the social aspect as a personal acceptance of my habit.

There are imperfections on the surface of those housings. Many times they will crack, especially if over tightened. We always sand the high spots before installing them.
