Anyone get a mooring spot last year or see where the spots were? Is it worth it? MMA and I will be at the Nautical April 23 to May 2nd and thought we might check out the drag boat races on Friday. I heard from a local that you can't see the races from the Nautical so I thought a mooring spot might be cool.

Mooring Spot:
Friday: $70.00, Includes two general admission tickets. Additional $10.00 per person. _________
Saturday: $90.00, Includes two general admission tickets. Additional $20.00 per person._________
Sunday: $90.00, Includes two general admission tickets. Additional $20.00 per person._________

IMO it seems like a long time sitting in a boat ..... they run pretty close to the shoreline and the view from there was awesome, plus a lot going on to walk around and see! I know this doesn't answer your question though..
Also parked on the shore .....whats better than moonshine on a 100 degree day!

We were on the beach last year, it was awesome. Probably do the same this year.

I'm pretty sure Paul65k had his toon out in that mooring area watching it last year, I'm sure he can give you his perspective on it.

The beach is the way to go I think. That's where we went last year. Boats are closer to the beach than the mooring spots from what I could tell. Parking was easy for us. We stayed at quality inn and just walked down the street a block..
