Went boating Friday and spun a coupler, we were out about 15 miles from the house and lost a coupler, so in the shop it goes Monday morning and shell out 2K to pull the engine and throw in a new one, ain't that a bitch.

I lost one a couple years ago when I grenade my drive. Problem was I didn't know the coupler was bad until I got drive and boat back together. Thing was vibrating like a out of balance washing machine. So back in the shop to yank the engine.
I don't think it was $2K though. I want to say it was less than a grand.

Sorry to hear! Hope there's nothing else!
What happens when you have problems out there? Do you have Vessel Assist?

That's the blessing of having two engines, I could idle in on the other engine, but we have Sea Two and they come get you and tow you home it's about $175 a year, but the tow is free if you have it, it's well worth it.

You need to come out and try Mother Nature's playhouse, not much better than the ocean.
That murky water you guys are seeing was last year we had so much rain from up North that was being discharged into the Caloosahatchee River it was turning the ocean brown, it took months for it turn back blue, Florida is spending 100s of millions of dollars building detention basins above the river that discharges into the GOM to slow down the fresh water so hopefully it doesn't happen again, this year was the worst ever they said, it usually doesn't happen that bad, but we had a exceptionally wet Spring.

Got the Formula back last Friday with my wallet $1,700 hundred clams lighter, the coupler is all fixed up, they had to pull the engine and replace it and I had them service the drive when it was off, so I'm ready to tear something else up this weekend, whose going boating.
If I keep breaking chit, I'll be looking for a job at Home Depot here real soon.

Like a submersible well pump, 300 feet of heavy gauge copper wire and a pump controller that was all fried by a lightning strike???
