Looking for Eliminator Daytonas from 25-33'. It must have turn key power like Mercury, Teague or Ilmor. No open bows and we would prefer one with the ICC's. I would also consider a DCB but I'd have to talk the wife into it.

What don't you know about Michigan. It's a state just above Ohio. Has great lakes all around it. And is pretty close to 2ManyMustangs and myself, who might be talked into a road trip if you needed it hauled. I'm pretty sure my dually could handle it. Or just store it until Loto and then pick it up there. I promise we won't take it out on the river once it thaws. ;)

And if you were seriously interested in it, my biggest concern would be where is it stored and how well was it winterized.

That boat has been for sale for a long time.. 92k is a lot of coin for a 6yr old boat with an Ilmor 550HP. A friend of my dads has an 08 27 Daytona. It had the 550HP pkg but he upgraded to the 625HP and the boat runs about 90. Eliminator has a 27, whippled 525 boat at 90+k. (GRADS- I believe you saw that boat I'm talking about?)

OCM in Havasu has a 27 standard deck, Ilmor 625HP, TCM drive for 88k I think? (If u like yellow/blue lol) It's only feb, so GRADS I'd keep waiting until around spring time and see what's out there. I have seen some YouTube video of that blue 25 in MICH, and that boat looks very nice, but that's a long drive from nor cal...:)


I have seen that 27' at Eliminator and I will say that it is growing on me although the wife is not really down with the colors...and we all know who's going to win that one. :rolleyes: I have not seen the standard deck at OCM....I'll have to check it out. A standard deck is what I really want.

The paint may be a little over the top for him. Personally I tend to like the bright "different" looking paint jobs on boats.
I guess it would come down to whats more important, the power or appearance.

That all white is timeless, if we lived and boated at a Lake I would go look at that sucker, just wouldn't do the trick down here, not in 3-5' chop in the GOM, at least not with me in it.

The nice thing about the red on the transom is that it doesn't show the exhaust soot as much as if it was white or a lighter color. Where did you find those pictures?

This boat doesn't have gay jet boat over the transom exhaust. Soot happens.

Well first of all, the guy does have a nice boat, and its been for sale for along time now, I know you look at the time at the ads too! But it's an older boat, and although the colors are nice and simple, I've seen a hundred other Elim's with that exact gel scheme. I feel like if you truly loved that boat, that you would've bought it a month ago. I know you're really looking for a 27 standard deck ( I love that model also) and there just really isn't anything out there right now. The one at Eliminator comes to mind, but its like 92k? That's alot of coin and it has wild colors. I'm not huge on the tandem trailer either, I think 3-axles is the way to go on the Daytona's, for style. ICCs are also more difficult to see through. Personally, I think maybe you're getting a little jumpy with summer coming fast, but I'd hate to see you settle for something you don't really want? Idk GRADS, its a nice looking 26, but I'm sure if you give it more time, more 26/27s will start being listed. There's always that beautiful 28 ICC, 496HOs boat, in Havasu Springs for 99k? Turnkey, 100mph boat, and the graphics are nicer and look bitchin... Just my .02.

You are somewhat correct. There have been a lot of nice single engine boats posted in the 80-90K range but quite honestly for that kind of money I would rather have a twin engine boat. The other problem is the motors or gelcoats.

Yes I know. He is a friend of mine but we are too far apart on what we think it is worth. The boat has 300 hours on it and the motor will probably need some freshening up among other things.

This boat seems to be everything you want. Mercury power, size & Model. It has the imco drive and dual ram steering. Why don't you offer him 48K - 50K and remind him that you are going to have to spend 5k to get the motor freshend up. Let's go look at this boat again...In the daylight this time.

That 2005 is a nice boat! I realize it's not exactly what you're looking for as far as colors etc... But it's a standard deck, which is a difficult boat to find used. The only way you'll be completely happy is to buy new, with would be well north of 150K for a 27. But for 63k with a blue motor that's a good deal and you can add some of your own upgrades if you want. Instead if spending 14k for that car, use that money and take the boat to Dustin and install a 3.3L whipple and upgrade the drive. Who knows when another 27 will pop up at that price. You could be waiting years for the right boat. Think about that 27 at Eliminator that you sat in?? That boat is about the same year and it's advertised for 90+k? Wow you're talking almost 30k difference in price. I believe RVRKID when he says it's super clean.. There's only so many questions and pics you can ask and look at. If you feel like you want to buy it then drive down to Havasu next week, lake test the boat and make the guy an offer.... I saw an OBO, so that's a good starting point...;) But if I lived that far away I would only go look if I had the intention of buying it. That's a very long drive for something that's "growing on you."...;)
