So who makes the lightest roots type blower?

That's an interesting question.
Are you asking about physical weight or rotating weight.

Interested in the physical weights.

Maybe one with the TBS billet case????? I think you would have to collect the lightest parts available for the thing if you are really concerned about the weight.

Mooneyham 8-71 with pulley, standard deck Mooneyham intake, Hilborn 4 hole hat injector = 110 lbs.

So I'm curious, why are you concerned about the weight of the blower? Less weight more speed deal? How much weight difference can there be?

It's at the shop so I can't weigh that combo.

Someone makes a unit that crosses two points and should comply better with the CoG gods for boats that like to turn sharply.
And then, If I can get the weights, have the guru's explain which of the lightest would be better.

What size blower, 8-71? I'll call a friend of mine that will have a few lying around, I'll see if he'll weigh them if that helps you.

Any and all, would be nice to have list developed....just need to know who makes the lightest ones.
