Needles is about 40 miles from Lake Havasu and 110 miles from Vegas. I went last year and will go this year. It was fun. Lots of beautiful boats and great people.

As I understand it, most of the boats that hit the water will do so AFTER the show since they are all primped to the 9's for the show... But not actual racing...

No it is a show. Anyone who wishes to go run in front of the crowd is welcome to do so, but it's not a race and not a typical v-drive outing that we would have in needles. Still a lot of fun for those who dig "true" floating Hot Rods under 2 tons. :D

I've never made the boat parade or the golf tournament, but the Taco Dinner at the Elks Lodge was a fun time.

I'll be out the weekend after, I'm on the fence about going the weekend of this event too.

That's a good start. :) I've put out well over 50 videos if you include racing stuff. Many of them aren't advertised and some just aren't for sale anymore like the 96-99 Classic v-drive club videos. Once the website inventory is all gone, I probably won't make anymore dvd's and I'll focus more on youtube since that's where the money is now. Time will tell...

There's no jet boats at this event, but there is always that one guy who will show up with one. There is also no boats over 24'. I guess I should say the only 24' boat is Linders bad ass Schiada V Drive! What's good about this show is that there is no big boats that you can buy off the showroom floor and think your some kind of baller just because you spent a lot of money! If you come to this show and don't appreciate the boats that pretty much started the whole river lifestyle then you probably shouldn't be boating!

4:00 pm Parade down Route 66 and street party

Saturday
Car Boat and Bike show along with some speed runs on the river.
6:00pm or so Drunken mayhem at NMP til everyone passes out again. :D

Sunday
Probably from 1/2 to 1/3 of the boats making some runs and playing on the river mostly before 2:00pm

Parker will be boring by comparison especially if you like Grey Goose and cran.
